Chloë Grace Moretz made her engagement to Kate Harrison official in her 2024 recap.
After coming out while supporting Kamala Harris in the US presidential elections last November, Chloë Grace Moretz appears to have confirmed her engagement to partner Kate Harrison in a 2024 recap, following several months of rumors. In a carousel chronicling highlights of her year on Instagram, the “Kick-Ass” star shared a photo of her and her partner after what appears to be a proposal on the beach.
The couple, whose faces are out of frame, show their clasped hands wearing matching diamond rings on their left ring fingers. “I wish you a very happy new year. I am so grateful for what this year has brought us. People, places, our families, our health, our love. I wish you all a peaceful start to the year,” she wrote in the caption of the slideshow, which also included photos of hikes, friends’ weddings, as well as a smiling shot with her partner.
Rumors about their relationship began as early as 2018, but it wasn’t until November 2024 that Chloë Grace Moretz came out in an Instagram post supporting Kamala Harris. “I believe that the government has no rights over my body as a woman, and that decisions regarding my body should only come from me and my doctor. Kamala Harris will protect this for us. I believe in the need for legal protections to protect the LGBTQ+ community as a queer woman. We need protections in this country,” she wrote of the vice-president, who later lost to Donald Trump.
In April, rumors of an engagement had already emerged after photos surfaced of the couple at Disneyland, sporting similar jewelry on their ring fingers. Although Chloë Grace Moretz did not react at the time, she regularly shared photos in which these rings were visible.
