But Port Kembla also dreams of becoming a green hydrogen mega-pole by 2030. It is already home to a water recycling plant, giant offshore wind turbine projects and innovative start-ups. Thus, the Hysata company is developing an electrolyzer capable of providing particularly inexpensive green hydrogen thanks to low energy consumption.
