Last month, we told you about the Pika Readers' Prize, an event allowing loyal readers of the catalog their favorite titles, and of which we are partners. A little less than a month later, the votes are in!
First, a quick reminder of this event. The publisher's desire, behind this award, is to celebrate with its readership the significant manga and webtoons offered by Pika during the year. 7 categories were selected in order to highlight Pika mangas in all their variety, and breaking away from the classic constraints of editorial targets. Let us recall the seven categories in question as well as the values they embody:
– 1. Best new : the title recently arrived in 2024 which has seduced you from the first pages.
– 2. Best adaptation : the work (literary, cinematographic, etc.) which brilliantly transposed its story into manga.
– 3. Best graphics : the most impressive and striking visual style of the year.
– 4. Best matchup : the duel or fight that kept you in suspense the most.
– 5. Best crush : the couple who knew how to make your heart beat.
– 6. Best thrill : the manga that knew how to make you tremble with fear or excitement.
– 7. Best laugh : the work that gave you the funniest and most memorable moments.
Votes are now open at this address and will close on January 16. For each category, the titles have been pre-selected. Thus, votes are cast among the nominees on each list.
Voting is therefore done online, the competition being open to mainland France and overseas, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada and Luxembourg.
The results will be revealed in March, during a live on the Pika editions Twitch channel. Other surprises around the price will also be revealed later.
