The New York Rangers will try to forget a catastrophic end to 2024 by receiving a visit from the Boston Bruins on Thursday evening.
• The match will be presented on TVA Sports from 7 p.m. with the pre-match at 6:30 p.m.
Peter Laviolette's men suffered four losses in a row and eight defeats in their last 10 games to conclude the year in last place in the Metropolitan section.

A 180 degree turnaround for this team which won the Presidents' Trophy less than a year ago with 55 victories and 114 points in the standings.
If the Rangers were to suffer another defeat, the cleaning already started a few weeks ago with the departures of Kaapo Kakko and Jacob Trouba could continue. The names of Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider have also been mentioned in transaction rumors and the head coach would also be in the hot seat.
The Boston Bruins went through a similar crisis early in the season, costing coach Jim Montgomery his job. Since this change, the Massachusetts team has regained some consistency and moved up in the Atlantic section rankings.
Joe Sacco's men, however, have lost two of their last three meetings to end the year 2024.
