American actor John Capodice, known for his roles in the series New York, judicial police et General Hospitalas well as for his appearance in the comedy Ace Ventura alongside Jim Carrey, died on December 30 at the age of 83, reports Deadline. The cause of his death has not been revealed.
In a tribute posted by a New Jersey funeral home, he was described as “a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him”according to an article in Deadline.
Born in 1941, John Capodice established himself as an essential supporting role in American cinema and television. After starting his career in the 1970s, he was still active in 2023, notably as a voice actor.

A former soldier in Korea in the 1960s, he stood out thanks to a major role in the series Ryan’s Hopebefore landing an important role in the soap opera General Hospital.
