The winter sales will start this Wednesday, January 8 for most departments, and for a period of one month. But the start dates may be different depending on your department.
This year, the winter sales will begin in the majority of metropolitan departments on Wednesday January 8, 2025 at 8 a.m., according to a decree dated May 27, 2019.
They will extend over four weeks, with an end scheduled for Tuesday February 4, 2025 inclusive.
Depending on your department, the start of the winter sales will be earlier or later, indicates the Ministry of the Economy. They take place from January 2 to January 29 inclusive in the departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle and Vosges.
Different dates in Overseas
For overseas territories, the sales start dates are also different. Sales start on January 4 in Guadeloupe, until January 31. They will begin on January 22 and end on February 18 in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon.
Finally, they will take place from May 3 to 30 in Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, and from September 6 to October 3 in Réunion. The sales are held, again, for a period of four weeks.
In Guyana, Martinique and Mayotte, the dates of the winter sales are the same as in mainland France, that is to say from Wednesday January 8.
If you do not want to go to the stores, it is possible to make your purchases online. Sales dates are also aligned with national dates, sometimes with promotional operations not called “sales” during the days preceding the official launch.
