I miss you is already top 2 of the most watched series on the Netflix streaming platform. The new television program is thus just behind season 2 of Squid Game which was already highly anticipated.
I Miss You, on Netflix, what is it about?
In I miss you, Missing Youin the original version, we follow the story of Kat Donovan who lost her fiancé Josh, who mysteriously disappeared over ten years ago. But, one day, while she is on a dating app, she comes face to face with his face.
It's a shock for the young woman who will have to unravel the mystery surrounding this long-standing disappearance and now reappearance. It is also an opportunity for her to face her painful past, buried until now. With such a storyline, it was obvious that this thriller would be a great success on the Netflix streaming platform. I miss you, is the Netflix series based on a true story?
But on closer inspection, this is not the case. In reality, it once again comes straight from the imagination of a master of the literary thriller: Harlan Coben. Initially released in 2014, this novel is purely fictional and was a hit in bookstores.
So, obviously, it was a new opportunity for Netflix to adapt a work by the successful author. Moreover, this is the ninth adaptation by Netflix of a work by the writer Harlan Coben. This is further proof that, despite the years that pass, his universe continues to fascinate both avid readers and series fans subscribed to the Netflix streaming platform.
Previously, we have already seen Double Trap, Don't walk away or even Gone forever also available on Netflix. And in the cinema too, the works of Harlan Coben have already been the subject of adaptations, including the now cult French film Don't tell anyonedirected by Guillaume Canet and released in theaters in 2006. Each story by the novelist comes from his imagination and is therefore fictional.
