France 2 already had the “Victoires de la musique”… This time, the channel launched on January 1st “The Bravos d’Or”. A ceremony presented in prime time by Nagui and Leïla Kaddour-Boudadi. Objective : reward the greatest successes of the year 2024. Music, cinema, TV series, plays and even musicals, different fields were represented. Small feature: the trophies were not awarded thanks to public voting but thanks to audience successes. In total 17 prizes were awarded during this evening event.
The music industry was widely rewarded. Thus, the trophy of “record of the year” was given to Enfoirés who won, at the same time, the title of “TV entertainment“. The “song of the year” is that of Jungle with its title Little Genius. Furthermore, it is Ofenbach who won the prize Most listened to French people in the world. The title of most popular concert of the year was awarded, this time, to Shaka Ponk. The “musical” of 2024 rewarded Starmania directed by Thomas Jolly. Finally, the only prize where the public was able to intervene is to elect the “personality of the year” and it is Pierre Garnierthe winner of the “Star Academy” who took home the prize.

Bravos d’Or: viewers cry scandal
Unfortunately, the innovative ceremony didn't only make people happy. On social networks, Internet users expressed their angere. Toured in December at the Théâtre Marigny, in Paris, they denounced the implementation of the program which was meant to be festive. The problem, all the shots were… from behind! As a result, the public did not have to see the hosts of the evening but, in addition, viewers discovered the show via a return screen.
“Can someone explain to me the why and how of the Bravos d’or? Why do we only see them from behind and we tap their faces on a screen in the back room of poor quality ?” an Internet user said annoyedly. “Terrible this realization“or again”The cameraman is going to film Nagui's back all evening and the big screen?” we could read on social networks.
-For this new meeting, Nagui called on his friend, director Gérard Pulliccino. To our colleagues from Puremédiasthe companion of Mélanie Page had explained the bias of its production “with a single camera, which will wander throughout the theater, as if the viewer were part of the audience“. Unfortunately, this bold choice did not have the desired effect.
