Météo-France has triggered a yellow level of vigilance in Allier, in Doubs, in Haute-Savoie, in Isère, in Jura, in Loire, in Loiret, in Puy-de-Dôme as well as in the 'Yonne, due to violent winds accompanied by gusts recording 70 km/h in the afternoon. This vigilance is valid until the afternoon at 6:00 p.m.
21 departments on heavy rain alert
Météo-France services have announced a yellow level “heavy rain” alert for Île-de-France, Champagne-Ardenne, Aisne, Eure-et-Loir, Haute-Saône, Maine -et-Loire, Mayenne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Sarthe, Territoire de Belfort, Vosges and Ille-et-Vilaine. Residents are urged to exercise caution due to the wind, accompanied by precipitation (total expected locally: 2.49 mm). This yellow level alert remains valid until midnight this evening.
Avalanche risks in a department
The snow cover will be unstable in Savoie, and avalanches are likely to occur. This is the reason why Météo-France declared a yellow alert there. Additionally, potential weather changes could lead to flooding. The end of this yellow alert is expected during the evening at midnight.
A flood alert in 9 departments
In addition, Météo-France announces a yellow vigilance level for Normandy, Seine-et-Marne, Oise, Val-d'Oise, Yvelines as well as Pas-de-Calais due to flooding. Rain (14.98 mm) is forecast locally. Residents near the Seine, Orne, Bresle and the Aa rivers are urged to be vigilant due to the risk of flooding. It is estimated that the yellow level of this alert will end late evening at midnight.
Snowfall in 12 departments
Météo-France announces a yellow alert for snowfall in Lorraine, Ardennes, Haute-Marne, Haute-Saône, Territoire de Belfort, Bas-Rhin, Côte-d'Or, Nord and Sum today (3.3 cm expected in places). A feeling of -6°C may accompany these snowfalls. This yellow alert will be taken into account until tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
