Perth (Australia) – World number 6 Elena Rybakina announced on Wednesday the return of her coach Stefano Vukov, who left the team just before the US Open. The 25-year-old Kazakh has worked with Vukov for five seasons, with a particular focus on securing her first Grand Slam title on the grass at Wimbledon in 2022.
“I am happy to announce that Stefano will be joining our team for the 2025 season. Thank you for all the support, and I wish everyone a great year,” Rybakina said on her Instagram profile.
At the end of last year, the player announced the engagement of Goran Ivanisevic as her new coach for the 2025 season. Work with the Croatian, former coach of Novak Djokovic, began during the pre-season in Dubai. The team also includes fitness trainer Azuz Simcich and physiotherapist Stefan Duell.

Rybakina is participating in the United Cup this week and leads the Kazakh team, which has already reached the semi-finals. After wins over Greece and Spain in the group stage, as well as Germany in the quarter-finals, the team will travel from Perth on the west coast to Sydney, where they will face the United States on Saturday . The final will take place next Sunday.
