On December 26, 2024, our dear Mother finally succumbed to the effects of Parkinson’s disease. Anyone who ever met her knows that she was full of life, smiles, energy, and would make friends with anyone given the chance. Mum loved her family above all else but also loved nature, animals, beautiful things from furniture to architecture, and being able to travel to see all those things. She had Parkinson’s for roughly 15 years and it gradually robbed her of the ability to enjoy all of that until her only pleasure left was a car ride to look at the scenery and get an ice cream. Mum was born in Es in 1933 and spent the war-rationed years there. When she was a teenager, her father John McColl Robinson had become Governor of the Windsor Jail and they moved to Sandwich along with her two older sisters Roberta and Donelda, to live in the Governor’s house next to the Jail. In the early 1950s she met our father Robert Hollub and they married in 1953. In the late 1950s she worked in administration at Windsor Medical to help build a nest egg for their future family. By the mid 1960s they had moved to South Windsor where they lived for the rest of their lives.During that time she raised four children; RJ (Cathy), Tiar, Laura (Al), and Aarin, while also taking care of her father. She has one grandson Dillon. Our mother was devoted to her family and helped us through many sports and activities. Over the years she was involved in Windsor Figure skating, Track 3 Skiing, Questers Antique Club, and various local historical clubs.
A special thank you is given to her newest friend Karen, who helped care for Bernice in her final years.
She was pre-deceased by our father in 2018.

Visitation Friday, January 3, 2025 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Families First, South Windsor, 3260 Dougall Ave. (519-969-5841).
Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m.
Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
