From the love story between Patrick Bruel and Amanda Sthers two boys were born: Oscar and Léon. The youngest, aged 19, got into music like his father and gave his first concert on December 13 in Los Angeles. The singer who was present with his ex in the room could not hide his pride in the face of this beautiful spectacle.
Invited on RTL to promote his tour last November, Patrick Bruel was treated to a nice surprise. Indeed, during his appearance in The Unexpected Journal, the singer was able to hear a message recorded by his son Léon, the fruit of his love affair with the writer Amanda Sthers.
“Hey dad! Congratulations on these 100 exceptional dates, this incredible tour! I was able to attend these two Bercy events in March which were crazy. I couldn't be there on December 8, but I'm offering you in return to be there on December 13 at my first concert in Los Angeles. I kiss you all. I love you dad! “, could be heard.
Faced with this beautiful message, the actor had difficulty hiding his emotion. He then declared : “Hey, you convinced him to talk, that's good… Yes, he's going to do his first concert in LA on December 13th. It touches me a lot, especially since he does it very seriously, with a lot of determination, with a lot of perspective and with a lot of work. It's not easy, he's doing it! He is a songwriter, a producer in his language since he has two languages.”
And to add about his role: “I'm here, I can sometimes avoid some pitfalls for him or offer him a look, but he knows perfectly well what he's doing and I think he needs to move forward alone and let his mistakes make him grow” .
In an interview given to our colleagues at Gala magazine, Léon Hesby, S (hes) for Sthers and B (by) for Bruel, spoke at length after his concert which took place in Los Angeles on December 13, but he was not the only one to speak.
It was, among other things, under the eyes of his parents that the artist performed, to their great delight. At the Gala, Amanda Sthers confided: “Léon always had an extraordinary charisma and, with his brother, they put on shows for the whole family, like many children. (…) And one day, during Covid, Léon came into the living room and played me a song that he had composed and written. After a few notes, I realized that this would be his life. It was obvious. It scared me because I know this environment, but it also filled me with joy that he was finding his way”.
Patrick Bruel is also full of praise for his son! He admitted to having simply been “bluffed”. “I was amazed by his ease, his demands, his relationship with the public. He has worked a lot to get there, he writes, he composes, he produces: he will continue and progress further. But last night, he was there. He chose two titles in French that suit him so well and I am convinced that by singing in French, he discovered an emotion that he did not suspect.”he first detailed.

A privileged father-son relationship
Then the singer from Café des délices adds: “I know that Léon doesn't want to disappoint me, just like I don't want to disappoint him. We have a conversation that has never stopped, we always want to surprise each other. I'm proud of him, the work he did and the energy he showed during this show.”.
For his part, the 19-year-old young man can only be proud! Léon Hesby has opened up about his ambitions and he already sees things big. “I would first like to exist in the United States before arriving in France. If I went the opposite way, I would only be described as the son of… This is not my project. I want to make a name for myself here first. In the US, I start from zero without any privileges”, he insisted.
And the singer concludes: “My father is very little known here and that’s a good thing, I want to know what I’m worth on my own. My privilege lies in the fact that I am lucky enough to have his advice and that he is an artist that I admire.”
