In an interview with journalist Timothé Crépin, the former defender of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Malcom Bokéléwas invited to give his best memory to FCGB.
“It's the first professional training sessions, in February… You arrive as a pro, there's Hatem Ben Arfa, Laurent Koscielny, Jimmy Briand, Benoit Costil, Nicolas De Préville… We weren't many young people, there weren't many There were only Sékou Mara, Dilane Bakwa, Amadou Traoré, Loïc Bessilé, Tom Lacoux and Issouf Sissokho. There was a superb atmosphere, it was magical. Then I made my first group in Ligue 1 against Reims. I didn't come home, but just being in the group was incredible. After training, that's when I said to myself 'ah yes, I'm training with him, him…'. But I was so on a mission that I didn’t think about it at the time, it was more afterward.”
And he particularly remembered the victory the first season in Ligue 2 against Paris FC (1-3).
“I think it was the most successful match I have played since I became a professional. From the first to the last minute, we were above the opponent. It was crazy. Everyone was playing at their best. Junior (Mwanga) had a crazy match, Dilane (Bakwa) too, there was Josh (Maja)… It was this match where people discovered us too. People were saying to themselves, 'Bordeaux is complicated, there are only young people, how are they going to do it…' And everyone was impressed.”
