The Gabon Télévisions Group is setting ambitious objectives for the year 2025, with a forecast budget estimated at nearly one billion CFA francs. A strategy which aims to strengthen its appeal to viewers through innovative programming and new productions.
A renewed ambition to seduce more. Meeting on December 30, 2024 at Maison George Rawiri, the board of directors of the Gabon Télévisions Group adopted a budget similar to that of the previous year. The objective is clear: to appeal more to Gabonese viewers and expand its audience beyond borders. For this, the program schedule will be enriched with more diversified and captivating content, meeting the expectations of the public.
Substantial financial needs
The forecast budget for 2025 is based on an assessment of needs of around one billion CFA francs. “ The state subsidy is less than 70 million FCFA, while internal forecasts are around 700 million FCFA. We would thus reach nearly a billion CFA francs, but these are only forecasts. », Specified Godel Inanga Yendiyika'a, president of the board of directors. This budget reflects the ambition to transform the public media group into a key player in the national audiovisual landscape.
Towards alternative financing. To achieve these objectives, the Gabon Télévisions Group is banking on increased mobilization of its teams and the development of additional sources of financing. “ We rely on our sales department to boost our revenue. Each member of the team, including journalists, must contribute to offering viewers the best of Gabon Télévisions », added the PCA.
With this strategic plan, the Gabon Télévisions Group intends to position itself as a benchmark media, meeting the growing expectations of its audience, while ensuring effective and sustainable management of its resources.
