Last night we were all celebrating the new yearwith our loved ones, our friends or our family. Most world leaders have sent their wishes for 2025.
The sovereign family of Monaco was no exception. Prince Albert, his wife Charlène and their two children, Jacques and Gabriellaspoke on this occasion.
The princely family of Monaco sends its wishes
Like every year, Prince Albert II of Monaco delivered his New Year’s greetings. Dressed in a superb navy blue suithe made his declaration in one of the salons of the princely palace, entirely decorated for the end-of-year celebrations.
But during his speech, we saw a little surprise. Albert II was joined by his wife, Princess Charlène as well as their twins, Jacques and Gabriella. Everyone was very well prepared for the occasion. The family sent wishes in different languagesin order to be understood by as many people as possible: in French and English, without forgetting Monegasque.

“In this moment of celebration and sharing, our children join us to send you our best wishes. May this new year bring happiness, health and success to you and all those dear to you.”declared Albert II. The whole family then exclaimed: “Good year ! Happy New Year! Bon Anu Noevu!”.
The young heirs of Monaco are now used to at official events. In December they had already participated in the inauguration of Mareterra Square and participated in distribute gifts to Monegasque children.

During a recent interview with Riviera Radio, Prince Albert spoke about his relationship with his children but also their important role within the family.
According to him, we must find the right balance: get Jacques and Gabriella used to their future responsibilities while letting them grow quietly. “We do things but I don’t want to make them do too much and they still need to be able to live their childhood and have fun with their friends”he explains. “You will see them again at regular intervals”he added.
