Sandra Bullock & Ben Affleck’s Underrated 25-Year-Old Romcom Finds New Streaming Home

The entertaining and underrated romantic comedy Forces of Naturestarring Sandra Bullock and Ben Affleck, is making its way to streaming.

Starting January 1, 2025Paramount+ subscribers can enjoy this delightful film about an unlikely pairing brought together by a series of mishaps and adventures. Directed by Bronwen Hughes, Forces of Nature follows Ben Holmes, played by Affleck, is a buttoned-up writer en route to Savannah, Georgia, for his wedding when a series of unexpected disasters completely derails his travel plans. After his flight is grounded, Ben is forced to team up with the free-spirited and unpredictable Sarah Lewis, played by Bullock, a fellow passenger also trying to reach Savannah. Together, they embark on a chaotic road trip full of mishaps, misunderstandings, and unexpected moments of connection.

Bullock has long been one of Hollywood’s most beloved stars, thanks to her charm, comedic timing, and ability to bring depth to romantic leads. Bullock has headlined classic comedies such as Miss Congeniality (2000) as the hilariously unpolished FBI agent Gracie Hart, a role she reprised in the sequel Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous. Other hits like Two Weeks Notice (2002) and The Proposal (2009) solidified her reputation as a rom-com icon. Affleck has built an impressive career as both an actor and filmmaker, starting with his breakout role in Good Will Hunting (1997), which he co-wrote with Matt Damon, earning them an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Affleck later ventured into superhero territory, playing Matt Murdock in Daredevil (2003), and later donned the cape as Bruce Wayne in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017). His brooding take on the Dark Knight added depth to the DC Extended Universe.
