Quiz of the Day. From January 1st. A spectacular increase of 25%! In which sector?

Water prices rise by 2% (compared to 3.4% initially planned), electricity increases by 3%, and the housing tax (arnona) sees a record increase of 5.29%, the largest for 17 years.

Public transport is not spared with a spectacular increase of 25%, the ticket going from 6 to 8 shekels.

The bus ride to Tel Aviv costs a little more ceher from this day on. You must use a Rav Kav card preloaded with money. Drivers no longer accept cash payments and cannot add money to Rav Kav cards. A Rav Kav is a “smart card” that can be loaded with money used for transportation.

How does the RAV Kav card work?

This smart card allows the user to pre-load a balance of money and use it to pay for travel on public transport (except shared minivans (Shirout) or taxis). The cost of a Rav Kav card is 5 shekels.

What should I do if I lost my RAV Kav?

In the event of loss, theft or damage, order a new card online or at a rav kav service center (with your teudat zehut or your foreign passport). The old card will be canceled and if there was any balance left on the lost or stolen rav kav, it will need to be transferred to the new card. An anonymous rav kav cannot be refunded.4 nov. 2024
