The Haute-Garonne firefighters intervened on Wednesday, January 1, in a road accident between a car and a Tisséo bus. They deplore the death of one of the motorists.
A serious incident. Yesterday, around 10:45 a.m., emergency services were mobilized for a violent traffic accident, which occurred southwest of Toulouse. The Haute-Garonne Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 31) specifies that the incident took place between “a Tisséo bus and a light vehicle”. Traffic was cut off during the operation, which required the intervention of ten rescuers and four vehicles, including one command vehicle.
A heavy human toll
When emergency services arrived on site, they took care of the two motorists, aged 34 and 36. The passenger of the vehicle “was transported in relative emergency to a hospital”, indicates the SDIS 31. The 36-year-old driver was declared dead by the SMUR team, “despite the promptness of the actions taken by the firefighters” . All those involved who were present on the bus were taken care of “by the local incident manager Tisséo”, declares SDIS 31. Usual investigations were carried out by the judicial police officer, deployed on place.
