A total demonstration

Victorious in the 20km, contested the day before, Astrid Oyre Slind started a few seconds ahead of her teammate Therese Johaug. Very quickly, a duo is formed and this pursuit, a classic 15km, turns into a demonstration.

The two Norwegians will work together throughout the race and gradually open up big gaps on the competition. On arrival, more powerful, Slind pocketed his 3rd career victory, ahead of a Johaug who did well overall.

To complete this control of the old ones, we will add the very good third place of Kerttu Niskanen, who still gives up 57sec on the winner.

Note that the first three in this pursuit, born in 1988, all aged 36, give a great lesson to the youngest, in particular to the Swedes who seem to be making fun of the world on this Tour de Ski.

Between the absentees, the sick, the early departures, the poor performance and others, this team which is betting its entire season on the world championships, is becoming pathetic.

Fortunately, other cross-country skiers, like the admirable Victoria Carl, play the game to the fullest. The German, who skied alone throughout the pursuit, finished 4th at 1min36.

Jessie Diggins, Heidi Weng and the surprise, like yesterday, Kathrine Stewart Jones lost more than two minutes, and a lot of time overall.
