Grenoble still committed to Dry January in 2025

is pleased to have been the first community to officially commit, in 2022, alongside the Addiction Federation to support the “Dry January“. Once again this year, the City continues to make the month of January a month of awareness of the dangers of alcohol.

The City of Grenoble is implementing awareness-raising actions against the dangers of alcohol

Throughout the month of January, the City of Grenoble is conducting a general public communications campaign with an emphasis on the youthwith displays and publications on social networks, but also raising awareness among establishment managers (bars) with an awareness letter about Dry January and the provision of a poster, and the recipe for mocktails created by the Protocol service. Therefore, for all events organized by the City in January, this non-alcoholic cocktail will be served.

But also “go-towards” actions

The Health Promotion servicewill organize several events “with a fun approach encouraging discussion, without making participants feel guilty, whether they wish to participate in the January Challenge or not. The objective is also to talk about the culture of alcohol and the participants' feelings towards alcohol, without necessarily changing their habits if they do not wish to do so. specifies the City.

Interventions will take place among young people with a stand on campus in partnership with the University Health Center; in public festive settings on the terraces of bars and cafes on Thursday evenings throughout the year; during an evening at the Transfo (concert, workshops and games about alcohol) and an afternoon, on January 28, at La Chaufferie (workshops and games about alcohol).

Awareness-raising activities will also be carried out among precarious publicwith workshops and games in three accommodation centers of the Municipal Social Action Center: CHRS, LhaPSE (January 23) and LAM (January 22).
