An apartment fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. this Wednesday in the Clémenceau district of Montpellier.
The flames broke out on the top level of a 3-story residential building. When firefighters arrived, the fire had broken through the roof of the building.
The two occupants of the apartment were rescued from outside the building using an EPS, a large sequential pivoting ladder. Then brought to safety and taken care of by the medical unit.
One of the injured suffered burns to his hands and smoke inhalation. The other had to undergo a check-up.
Four other residents of the building were also rescued and received by emergency services.
This fire was quickly brought under control and mobilized around thirty firefighters during the morning.
