Calgary police are warning residents of an “armed and dangerous” man who may be in northwest Calgary or the town of Bearspaw.
Authorities are looking for a 38-year-old white man, approximately 6 feet tall, with brown and gray hair, who was wearing a gray, red and white sweater. He is believed to be driving a Nissan Pathfinder SUV with a license plate CLN 5276.
An emergency alert was sent to the phones of Calgary citizens.
Police say the wanted man is a suspect in a double murder that took place Sunday in the Kincora and Tuscany neighborhoods in northwest Calgary.
Sunday around 9:30 p.m., police officers went to the Kincora neighborhood to respond to a 911 call reporting the presence of a person who needed medical help. On site, they found the death of a man aged around 70.
Less than two hours later, the police found the lifeless body of a woman in her thirties, in the Tuscany district. The victim is believed to be the daughter of the man found dead earlier, according to police.
