Many personalities will have left their mark on the year 2024 in a lasting way. We think in particular of our heroes of the Olympic Gameswhich will have provided emotions and memories to all of France during more than a month of competition. But athletes are not the only ones to have set the pace for the year: lThe politicians also performed well (for better and especially for worse), and we also saw a bunch of music stars excel. Notably Pierre Garnier, phenomenon “made in Star Academy”, who appeared out of nowhere to become omnipresent in the space of a few months. A feat that deserved a title of personality of the year!
The man of the year 2024?
Pierre Garnier is undoubtedly one of the personalities who marked the year which has just ended, he who won season 11 of the Star Academy and then ignited large venues in France, and collaborated with renowned artists. Home did not expect to see him crowned during the brand new Bravos d’Or ceremony, a program broadcast on France 2 on Wednesday January 1st.
The ceremony wants to stand out from the others with its very particular concept: it is based on more “objective” criteria, quantified, if you prefer, such as theatrical admissions, audiences, record sales figures. The show took place at the Théâtre Marigny in Paris and was presented by Nagui and Leila Kaddour-Boudadi.
During the show, Pierre Garnier therefore received the Bravo d’Or for the French people’s favorite personalitynotably thanks to the votes of Internet users. A category in which he was in competition with two monsters: Léon Marchandwhich flew over this summer’s Olympic Games, et Tony Estanguetwho prepared them for years so that everything went well.
The young singer was obviously surprised to be in front of such big sports stars during an Olympic year, but he did not shy away from his pleasure: “Yes, it’s impressive. I don’t want to say to myself that I “beat” the others. But it’s surprising, because the vote didn’t only concern the world of music. In any case, everything surprises me in these ceremonies”he explains. We wish him a year 2025 that is at least as good!
