At the extraordinary level, 7 million euros of investments are planned. “This money will largely be devoted to the implementation of the flood control plan, but also to expenditure on the energy performance of Fenil. This point had been included in 2024 but the market has been relaunched. There will be also points for the tourist promotion of the castle, security and mobility.”

The most important files: fees and the creation of the temporary immersion zone at Pré d’Auffe (1.74 million); the renovation of the Fenil as part of the PCDR (1 million); the acquisition of land for flood control facilities (800,000); the creation of temporary immersion zones, storm basins or flood expansion zones (670,000); and the valorization of the old castle (570,000).
All financed by subsidies at 54%, loans at 37% and reserve funds for 8%.
Aurélie Maréchal affirmed her support for a series of projects, on behalf of Écolo (opposition), given that they had been initiated by the group during the previous legislature. “We are happy to see significant amounts for the fight against flooding, the continuation of the file for the extension of the sports center and the Fenil, but also the integration of an envelope for the survey intended for seniors. is something we appreciate.”
For his part, Laurence Smets (Wal1 Citoyens) declared that he was carefully monitoring the CPAS’s allocation, which in his view was probably insufficient to carry out all its missions. “For us, the budget is not detailed enough and does not give a faithful image of the municipal policy declaration.”
The two Ecolo municipal councilors abstained while Wal1 Citoyens (4 seats) voted against this 2025 budget.
