Just released, the product has already been removed from the shelves. This Saturday, YouTuber Michou announced the withdrawal of the sale of his game “Who will be the liar”, widely criticized by Internet users for its inappropriate questions.
“Friends, I received messages about the game Who will be the liar?you know me, I would never have allowed myself to put these kinds of questions there and even less for such a young audience. I immediately reported the information, wrote the influencer on X. The box will therefore be withdrawn from sale and a refund will be made to customers. »
On social networks, Internet users and in particular parents have been complaining for several days about the content of the questions in this board game accessible for children from 7 years old, according to the indication on the box. Among the questions: “Have you ever used an everyday object to do something naughty?” », “Have you ever had an erotic dream? », “Have you ever used narcotics?” » or “Have you ever had an animal in heat who wanted to do it with you? “.
In a press release published this Saturday, Topi Games, the publisher of the game, “apologizes”. “We have been informed of the presence of inappropriate questions in certain cards in the game Who will be the liar?aimed at a young audience. This situation is due to a manufacturing error in the content validation process,” we read. “The company Topi Games understands the indignation caused by this incident and assumes total and complete responsibility for this error,” the press release continues, also indicating that a “procedure to remove the game is underway”.
“I will ensure that this type of thing never happens again by redoubled effort and attention on future projects,” Michou promises.
Customers who have purchased the game are invited to return it to the point of sale. They will then be able to obtain a refund.
