In a completely undecided final, Fem van Empel won the GP Sven Nys 2025 in a sprint which took place this Wednesday January 1 in Baal, the 5th round of the X2O Trofee 2024-2025.
Fem van Empel (22 years old) managed to win the sprint this Wednesday January 1st on the occasion of the GP Sven Nys has Baal (Belgium). On a very demanding course and under strong winds, the world champion in the specialty performed a real reassembled to blow the victory to a Lucinda Brand who had previously been able to take advantage of the technical errors of the World champion and Puck Pieterse to isolate himself at the head of the race. In a final round of madness, Fem van Empel nevertheless managed to return to Lucinda Brand in the last hectometers to then win in the sprint against the champion of the Netherlands who finally finished 2nd. Puck Pieterse finished 3rd, 21 seconds behind the winner of the day.
