Lamine Osmane, president of Sawt Echaab, revealed yesterday: Tebboune “will soon meet” the parties

The president of Sawt Echaab (Voice of the People), Lamine Osmane, revealed yesterday, during a meeting with his party executives, that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune “will soon meet” leaders of representative and active political parties on the ground .

“President Tebboune plans to meet individually with the leaders of political parties at the level of the Presidency of the Republic. He will launch this process in the very next few days,” the leader of Sawt Echaab believes. His consultations and consultations aim, according to him, to debate the law on political parties and the preliminary draft laws on the codes of the commune and the wilaya, submitted about a fortnight ago to the political parties and parliamentarians.

Should we recall on this subject that working groups and commissions have been set up not only at the level of the two Chambers of Parliament, but also at the level of the political groups sitting in the elected assemblies and which have received a copy of these preliminary bills.

Made up of vice-presidents, committee presidents, heads of parliamentary groups and deputies and senators, the working groups set up at the Council of the Nation and the National People's Assembly (APN) are responsible for formulating proposals and observations aimed at enriching these documents. The same goes for the commissions set up at the level of political parties (FLN, FFS, RND, etc.).

These bodies continue their meeting and have one month to finalize their work. Regarding the inclusive national dialogue, Lamine Osmani does not see the usefulness of calling to “advance” the date of its holding since, he insists, it is in progress. “The Head of State is committed to launching the national dialogue and is currently putting in place the mechanisms to achieve this objective. We are in the phase of constitutional transition,” he maintains.

According to the President of the Republic, the launch of the national dialogue will take place at the end of 2025-beginning of 2026. Calls have been made to bring forward this deadline. The Head of State, who will deliver a speech to the nation today before both Houses of Parliament, will probably address this issue and take stock of the political, economic and social situation.
