As part of its municipal backup plan (PCS), the municipality of Sainte-Pazanne (Loire-Atlantique) has just put in place a system ofSMS alert for its inhabitants.
An original initiative proposed by Numérisk, a collaborative backup platform.
An alert instantly to all listed numbers
Pazenais who wish to do so can register on the site and then be notified of municipal alerts, such as floods, storms, drought or even accidents.
“All the contact details of registered people are stored on the Numerisk application which allows, in a few clicks, to send an alert instantly to all the numbers listed,” underlines the general director of services, Patrick Mariot. This is the most effective way to be alerted quickly. »
Prevention device
The message alerts you to the nature of the disaster and reminds you of the safety instructions to adopt. To register, all you need is a few clicks from the QRcode to be found in particular on the city's Facebook page “Sainte Pazanne – the town hall page”. You will be asked for your first and last name, your address and your mobile phone number, of course.
“Many events can be anticipated”
That's for the novelty. But the municipal protection plan, a document which lists the major risks that a municipality may face as well as the measures to take to deal with them, provides for other systems to prevent the Pazenais.
“Many events can be anticipated, you just need to be vigilant, stay informed, adapt your activities,” underlines the town hall on its Facebook page, which details the initiatives of this prevention system designed by the municipality, in more SMS alert systems.
Different means
“Depending on the nature of the event, the alert can be given by different means. » By activating notifications via the town hall website ; via the Facebook page, light panel, radio, TV, or local press, but also through the national FR-Aler system.
“The goal is to organize yourself to be ready. It is about preparing, training, identifying and organizing the main missions to deal with a dangerous, unforeseen and brutal event which could occur in the territory and for which the human, economic and environmental stakes are high”, underlines the city hall.
Test the procedures
At the end of November, a carefully prepared exercise by the service provider Numérisk made it possible to test the procedures within the command post.
“Chief Warrant Officer Servin of the Sainte-Pazanne gendarmerie brigade and the head of the operations department of the western group of Sdis44 (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service), participated in this morning as observers and contributed to improve processes. »
