Six months after the Blues' silver at the Olympic Games, French basketball returns to Bercy for an All Star Game with a Euroleague flavor, this Sunday from 5 p.m. (free broadcast on DAZN).
With Monaco and Paris on the podium, without forgetting Asvel which remains in contact with the top 10, French clubs shine in the most prestigious European competition. Six of the ten starters for the “World” and “France” teams will come from these three clubs (13/24 in total).
Two Olympic medalists
On the Paris side, teammates TJ Shorts and Nadir Hifi will face each other on the Bercy floor. The American leader, third best scorer in the Euroleague (18.9 pt on average), will be supported by Monegasque Mike James.
On the French side, Hifi will be able to count on the support of Théo Maledon. After four difficult seasons in the NBA, the 23-year-old leader has brilliantly relaunched with Villeurbanne. The two young players will be supported by Nicolas Lang, 34 years old and record holder for the number of three-point baskets scored in the Elite. Olympic silver medalists Nando De Colo and Matthew Strazel will be on the bench.
All for an All Star Game which should look great, confirming the growth of the French championship in line with the performances of French basketball on the European scene.
