At the end of 2024, the Grand Est is experiencing a sharp increase in flu cases. All regions of the French metropolis are on epidemic alert level.

Regarding the flu, “Children under 15 were the most affected in town and in hospital, but a marked increase in visits to emergency rooms and hospitalizations among people aged 65 and over was observed,” commented Public Health France.
Health authorities regret a drop in the number of people vaccinated this year compared to the previous year.
