The duo from La Palme brought the sun with them to the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville in Narbonne, this Saturday, December 28.
For this last weekend of the year 2024, the sun and the mildness of Narbonne were out this Saturday. A weekend between Christmas and New Year's Day ideal for exchanging gifts or preparing for New Year's Eve but also for family walks. In downtown Narbonne, as part of the Christmas Fairies, the Eko Eko group played spring tunes.
The 26-year-old twins from La Palme played like at home, accompanied by a bassist. There were nearly 500 people massing around the stage, in front of the Town Hall, at the beginning of the afternoon. The curious, passing by, attracted by a familiar melody, stopped with their families to enjoy the music full of rhythm proposed by the Aude duo.
A varied repertoire
“The weather is nice, we're having a good time with our grandchildren, eating a crepeconfides Séverine, who came down from Montluçon for the holidays. I didn't know these young people but their music makes you want to move.” Hugo on guitar, Lucas on percussion and the audience to accompany them by clapping their hands, enjoying a varied repertoire, between songs known to all and personal compositions. “Because we come from far away”, “The anthem of our countryside”, but also the classic “Wonderwall” and “Porque te vas”, which delighted the many Spanish tourists present on the square.
