Jessy Travaglini is a 27-year-old young woman, responsible for human resources at a powerful French company specializing in the manufacture of industrial soups. Married to a rugby coach and mother of a 5-year-old boy, Jessy Travaglini is described by all as a mother hen, a devoted wife. Her personality does not fit with that of a killer.
However, on the shoulders of the young woman who looks like a princess, weighs a terrible accusation: the assassination of another mother, Éloïse Bagnolini, 30 years old. The police discovered that she was maintaining an extramarital affair with Éloïse’s husband, Alain, who is also her work colleague.
In front of the gendarmes, Alain will describe his mistress as “an unhealthy woman who harbored the desire to kill her partner”, explains Jean-Marie Goix in Criminal investigations.
Indeed, the man claims to have fallen into the clutches ofa praying mantis who would have set their sights on him. Has Jessy become obsessive to the point of wanting to eliminate her rival? Her lover is convinced of this, especially since this is not the first time that she has been involved in an adulterous affair at work.
A man-eater
In the company, tongues are loosened. Jessy Travaglini is described as a man-eater. During her first relationship with a married man, Jessy had wanted to meet her lover’s wife. An attitude that she repeated with Éloïse and which led to a fatal outcome.
To the police, little by little, Jessy appears as a formidable predatorwithout any scruple. They realize that she has no limits. “She is used to having all men at her feet, she behaves a bit like a queen,” says Michel Mary, legal columnist.
In 2013, when she felt that Alain was not willing to leave Éloïse, the human resources manager saw red. “She wants Alain and a priori, she is ready to do anything to have him“, explains Michel Mary. She then puts in place a plan to eliminate her rival. Before the investigators, she confesses to the murder.
In 2016, Jessy Travaglini is found guilty of the murder of Éloïse Bagnolini and is sentenced to 30 years in prison. Premeditation was not found.
