The sun is out at La Grande-Motte in Hérault. Despite the cold mornings, the beaches were full. Walkers took advantage of this pleasant weather to go out. On the beach, tourists and locals took advantage of the good weather. “We're really lucky. With this sun, we can go out and enjoy. It's a change from the gray we have at home!”says a visitor from Lyon.
Some do not hesitate to mention a swim. “We could go swimming! The cold doesn’t scare us, we’re well covered”jokes a mother sitting on the sand.
Seaside restaurateurs do not hide their satisfaction. “The good weather is saving us. It’s calmer than in summer, but it’s nice to see people passing by. People come to look for a little sun”confides Dounia, waitress in a bar.
The sun changes everything. It transforms winter into a friendly and bright time. The end of year celebrations take on the feel of a vacation by the sea.
