Dakar, Dec 27 (APS) – Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko reaffirmed, Friday, his government’s commitment to promoting the values of equity and justice in appointments and recruitment in public administration .
‘”No one will now be able to take advantage of partisan proximity to access undue privileges or to escape deserved sanctions,” declared Ousmane Sonko.
The head of government spoke thus on the occasion of his general policy declaration before the National Assembly.
“Each national talent will be promoted, without consideration of origin, religion or partisan affiliation,” he added, inviting civil servants to be transparent in the management of public affairs.
Ousmane Sonko also promised to lead a “resolute fight against waste in current spending, corruption and extortion, in particular by accelerating the automation of administrative procedures”.
The Prime Minister also invited all state agents to adopt the new paradigm of “Jubb, Jubbël, Jubanti” (Justice, Equity, Righteousness, in Wolof), a guarantee of an efficient and modern administration.
“To this end, the government will engage in the necessary reforms to provide public services with qualified and motivated human capacities, as well as adequate operating means,” promised the head of government.
