As the end-of-year holidays approach, the sun continues to shine in Sainte-Marie, as we reunite with Inspector Mervin Wilson (Don Gilet) and his team for a special Christmas episode of Murders in Paradise, on 26 December on France.TV and this Friday from 9:10 p.m. on France 2 (Métropole schedule, editor's note).
Created by Robert Thorogood, this special episode filmed in Guadeloupe will tell the story of a man in a Santa costume who is found dead on the beach, with a bullet to the heart. Shortly after, a second Santa Claus was killed in the same way.
When a third Santa shows up at the station with a gunshot wound to his arm, the police team is perplexed. Who could want Santa to die? And who can solve the case now that Detective Parker is gone?
Luckily, London inspector Mervin Wilson, on vacation in Sainte-Marie at the time, was requisitioned by his boss to lead the investigation.
He still has to do his part and overcome his annoyance with the functioning and rhythm of the island, far removed from the hustle and bustle of London to which he is accustomed.
In the casting, we find: Don Gilet (Mervin Wilson), Don Warrington (Commandant Selwyn Patterson), Shantol Jackson (Sergeant Naomi Thomas), Ginny Holder (Probationary Officer Darlene Curtis), Danny John-Jules (Officer Dwayne Myers), Elizabeth Bourgine (Catherine Bordey) a Ram John Holder (Nelson), with guest stars: Jim Howick (Jamie Barton), Angela Griffin (Tabitha Reed), Marcus Brigstocke (Stuart Fullwell), Steven Hartley (Tony Hurst), Elizabeth Carling (Karla Hammond), Michael Salami (Tyrus Demille) et Dex Lee (Kenny Simmons)
The special Christmas episode of “Meurtres au Paradis” can be seen on December 26 on the France.TV platform and the next day from 9:10 p.m. on France 2.
