Thirty-three years ago, Hollywood was already producing versions live action (filmed with real actors, editor's note) classic cartoons from Walt Disney Studios. Or rather, their sequel, since Hook or the Revenge of Captain Hookreleased in 1991, tells the adventures of adult Peter Pan, who has become a great lawyer, who will once again cross paths with his sworn enemy. The latter, very resentful, will decide to kidnap Peter and Wendy's children, forcing the hero to return to Neverland (or Neverland, in English).
Hook : a real hit in the USA

Steven Spielberg and Robin Williams: an unforgettable meeting
At the beginning of the 1980s, Steven Spielberg began developing a film project with Walt Disney and Paramount Studios to follow up the cartoon by Peter Panalready with Dustin Hoffman but without Robin Williams. But at the last moment, just before filming, the filmmaker canceled everything for personal reasons: he had just become a father. It was not until 1989 that the project was revived with the studio TriStar Pictures, and this time, Robin Williams in the lead role. During filming, the actor also had a very strong bond with Steven Spielberg: they became best friends. Subsequently, the two men collaborated only once, when Robin Williams lent his voice to Doctor Know-It-All in AI Artificial Intelligence. After his death in August 2014, Steven Spielberg wanted to see again in full mourning Hookbut the pain was still too strong. Inconsolable, he couldn't finish watching and cried for hours without being able to stop… Discover or rediscover Hook or the Revenge of Captain Hook this Friday, December 27 at 3:15 p.m. on TF1!
