Princess Elisabeth among the favorite personalities of Belgians, she dethrones a famous actress!

“Brussels, I love you, Brussels, I love you”, this is a refrain well known to fans of the singer Angèle who wrote an ode to her native country. Words that Princess Elisabeth of Belgium could also hum at the end of the year, given the gift that the citizens of the flat country have just given her. In a survey conducted by Quorum Opinion for Evening Magthe eldest daughter of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde is the bronze medalist in the ranking of the Belgians’ favorite national personalities, just behind the singer Angèle and the athlete Nafissatou Thiam, heptathlon gold medal at the Olympic Games, which takes first place.

The future queen of the Belgians has thus gained two places and dethrones the actress Virginie Efira who goes from first place acquired in 2023, to fourth place, despite her César for best actress at the start of the year for Love and the Forests of Valerie Donzelli. Shoulder to shoulder behind the performer of Your Queenthe Crown Princess proves to what extent the year 2024 has benefited her in the hearts of her fellow citizens. Increasingly put forward by the Belgian royal family, the Duchess of Brabant has had a year of great success. Presented to Barack Obama in March, graduated from Oxford in July, first supporter of Belgian athletes in August in Paris, returned to Harvard in September… All this between two charity visits or official events. The 23-year-old young woman has a “well-made” heart and head since she is preparing a master’s degree in public policy at the famous American university near Boston.

His parents are not left out. Mathilde, queen consort, gains two levels and still arrives in 9th place in this ranking… three steps behind Lara Fabian (6th). A curious mix of genders in a survey which also concerns men. The most popular male member of the royal family is King Philip in only 23rd place, with the top spot going to singer Stromae. A slight fall for the sovereign since in 2023, he had climbed to 15th place, the 23rd being Prince Laurent, his brother who is no longer part of the ranking this year.

A future sovereign queen of the Belgians who can count on solid popularity. How to explain it? An ounce of glamour, an enormous capital of sympathy for the one who embodies a new generation of crown princesses, and a cleverly orchestrated communication according to Le Soir Mag, taken up by the site RTL.be. “Her appearances are relatively rare, which increases the interest and curiosity of Belgians towards her. All smiles, she does not disappoint her audience during her outings,” notes the site. The year 2025 promises to be auspicious for Princess Elisabeth, the best ambassador of Belgian intellect, charm and open-mindedness.
