Since the beginning of December, around twenty fires and fire outbreaks have been reported in the Cité Berthe sector. A police system put in place on the evening of December 25 led to the arrest of six teenagers aged between 13 and 17.
Six teenagers were arrested after a series of fires and outbreaks of fire in La Seyne-sur-Mer. The six young men, aged 13 to 17, were arrested at Berthe city, on the evening of Wednesday December 25, setting fire to a tree, BFM Toulon Var learned from the police.

That evening, police surveillance was put in place after the report of seven fires requiring the intervention of firefighters. Personnel from the Bac, the specialized field brigade (BST) and police emergency crews from La Seyne-sur-Mer have positioned themselves on the outskirts of the city.
A group of six people were then spotted wandering around the city, before hanging a curtain on a tree and then setting it on fire. They were all arrested, some after trying to flee.
Taken to the Toulon police station, the six suspects – one aged 17, three aged 16 and two aged 13 – were placed in police custody. They were referred during the day of Thursday, December 26.
The town hall of La Seyne-sur-Mer filed a complaint.
