Fiat: these 4 new features expected in 2025

Fiat is preparing to unveil several new products in 2025. These four models should allow the brand to return to volumes, because we noted that apart from Brazil, Fiat is in decline in all other countries. From the renewal of the Fiat Grande Panda to a hybrid version of the Fiat 500, here is an overview of the four models that will shape the future of Fiat in 2025.

1. Fiat Grande Panda: the wait is almost over

The Fiat Grande Panda is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated new products of 2025 by dealers and customers. Announced as the cornerstone of Fiat's new global range, it made a remarkable debut last summer. Initially scheduled for the end of 2024, the first deliveries of this compact family model should not begin until January 2025. This slight delay offered Fiat the opportunity to refine certain technical aspectsin particular the problems encountered by Citroën ë-C3, a model which shares the same platform.

The Great Panda, with its dimensions of 4 meterspositions itself as a family city car adapted to the needs of Europeans. It will be available in 100% electric and hybrid versions. The electric offer will be offered from €24,900 in , while the thermal hybrid version could exceed €21,000. This model promises to compete with the Dacia Spring and Renault 5, by offering a competitive price while meeting consumer expectations in terms of autonomy and technology.

2. The return of the Fiat Multipla / Giga Panda or a Fastback SUV

Another big novelty from Fiat for 2025 could be either a Multipla / Giga Panda, i.e. a Fastback SUV. A new model expected for a presentation in June or July 2025.

The return of the famous Fiat Multipla, that the Italian brand could decide to rename it Giga Panda, is a more spacious model of the Grande Panda. This new family car would be based on the same platform as the Citroën C3 Aircross and the Opel Frontera, with an estimated length of 4.40 meters. The Giga Panda would thus be positioned as a five- or seven-seat C-SUV, with hybrid and electric versions, and would offer a spacious and comfortable interior, ideal for families.

Another possibility, Fiat could present a model inspired by the Fiat Fastback already available on the Brazilian market. This model met with great success there in 2023, with more than 40,000 units sold. Fiat appears to have plans to make it available globally, and this SUV would be built on the same STLA Smart platform than the Great Panda. This Fastback could position itself as the Italian cousin of the Citroën Basalt, with an innovative design and versatile engines, to appeal to a wide audience.

3. The Fiat 500 hybrid: the return

Fiat's big surprise for 2025 is the arrival of the Fiat 500 hybrid. After announcing an electric version in 2020, Fiat has finally decided tocome with a hybrid thermal version. This 500 hybrid will be equipped with a 70 horsepower 1.0 FireFly naturally aspirated engine, produced in Termoli, Italy. It will have a six-speed manual gearbox and will be entirely made in Italy. It is expected for November 2025.

4. The electric Fiat 500: an update

The electric Fiat 500 will continue to seduce with its iconic design and its performance adapted to urban needs. For 2025, after an investment of 100 million euros, this city car will undergo a major updateespecially with the arrival of a new battery. This battery, equipped with LFP technology, will allow reduce the price of the electric version while improving autonomy, which remains a weak point of the current 500. This development is a boost for the electric 500, which will thus have better competitiveness in the market for electric city cars and will help boost sales after a very difficult 2024.
