The toast of the Rione Madonna delle Grazie
An evocative Christmas toast in the name of culture and sport took place yesterday evening in the Rione Madonna delle Grazie at the enchanting location of the Masseria delle Grazie. Domenico Sabatino, president of the Ancient Necropolis of Stabiae Madonna delle Grazie Association, welcomed the illustrious guests. «I thank everyone present – he said –, starting with Giovanni Malafronte for bringing football to the little ones in the neighbourhood. Thanks then go to the Agorà Abatese association and to the municipal administrations of Gragnano and Santa Maria la Carità. We are working with commitment and determination in the area, convinced that this is the right recipe to achieve results. On January 5th the children of our neighborhood will go to the Libero D'Orsi Museum, a precious resource that testifies to the importance of this area. We thank the Superintendency of Archaeological Heritage of Pompeii for the work and the capital invested, now it will be our turn to commit ourselves to enhancing our historical-cultural heritage. This year we have achieved results that were unthinkable until recently, we don't want to stop.” Among those present were the deputy mayor of Gragnano Andrea Gaudino, the municipal councilor of Santa Maria la Carità Giuseppe Gargiulo, the archaeologists Ciro Di Massa and Mario Notomista, the president of the Agorà Abatese Association Vincenzo D'Aniello, the director of the San Paolo football school Giovanni Malafronte and Juve Stabia midfielder Davide Buglio. During the evening, Andrea Langella, the patron of the Vespas, also spoke by telephone and wished to send his best wishes to the Ancient Necropolis of Stabiae Association and to all those who are involved in the work of valorising the territory. Culture needs the union between all the components, that this toast represents a new step towards a future increasingly characterized by significant goals.
