Swiss snowboarder Sophie Hediger, who took two World Cup podiums and competed in the 2022 Olympics, died in an avalanche in Arosa, eastern Switzerland, on Monday. The news was announced today by the Swiss Ski Federation. The girl, a national snowboardcrosser, had just celebrated her 26th birthday on December 14th.
