Wilfried Singo apologizes to Gianluigi Donnarumma after the clash that hit the goalkeeper’s face in Monaco-PSG

During last night’s PSG-Monaco match, the images of the clash between Wilfred Singo and Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 22nd minute went around the world.

The Saint-Germain goalkeeper, in an attempt to block a lob aimed at the goal, was hit by Singo’s studs.

The number 1 of the Italian national team remained on the ground with a bloody face, forcing coach Luis Enrique to replace him with Safonov.

The incident caused ten stitches on the right cheek and other visible injuries and Donnarumma also did not appreciate the lack of sanctions against Singo by referee François Letexier.

During the break, the goalkeeper clearly expressed his disappointment in the corridors of the stadium.

Singo’s apologies to Donnarumma

However, Singo’s apologies to Gianluigi Donnarumma did not take long to arrive after the former Torino player realized the seriousness of the foul.

“I would like to extend my apologies to Gianluigi Donnarumma. My gesture was obviously not voluntary, only later was I able to see that he had a significant wound to his face. I wish you a speedy recovery.”Singo wrote on his social profiles.
