The actions of Super Micro Computer Inc. (NASDAQ:SMCI) gained 1.30% in early trading on Wednesday, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

This achievement comes after a difficult period characterized by the removal of SMCI from the Nasdaq-100 index. The removal, scheduled for December 23, was announced just a few months after the company entered the index.

The Nasdaq-100 Index includes 100 of the largest non-financial companies on the Nasdaq stock market.

The removal was prompted by the stock falling below its 50-day moving average, a key indicator of its performance. This development has put SMCI alongside other companies such as Illumina Inc. e Modern Inc. who faced similar challenges.

On the contrary, companies like Palantir Technologies Inc., MicroStrategy Inc. e Axon Enterprise Inc. have been added to the index, replacing those removed.

SMCI shares closed at $33.80 Tuesday, up 1.1%. On a year-over-year basis, the stock is up 18.4%, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
