Tonight the Milwaukee Bucks’ efforts after a nightmare start were validated with a dominant 97-81 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Cup Finalgiving them a piece of silverware that should now spur them on to bigger and better things as they try to move up the Eastern Conference standings.
Amid the Bucks’ successes, an unsung hero has taken center stage: fans recognized the greatness of Milwaukee assistant coach Darvin Ham in the NBA Cup, which in its first season was called the NBA In-Season Tournament.
Ham, as you may recall, was the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers team that won the In-Season Tournament last season, emerging undefeated from the event. Now that the Bucks also remain undefeated, there is no questioning Ham’s greatness in this regard, with the fans breaking into a frenetic series of banter.
Fans have mocked coaching duo Darvin Ham and Doc Rivers for the start of the season, with the Bucks getting off to a disappointing start. But now things have changed and Milwaukee managed to turn its season around, also winning the NBA Cup.
