Released in 2022, the FlexStyle consolidates Shark’s position in the beauty-tech market. Two years later, the American manufacturer improved its device, or rather the accessory that curls the locks. Priced at around €250, the FlexStyle is much more than a hair dryer and stands out as a real styler, capable of drying and styling hair.
For greater efficiency, the design of the two hair curling cones has been revised. While they were particularly slender, they now adopt small bulges to better grip the strands. On the technology side, nothing changes: the Shark FlexStyle relies on the Coanda effect to shape our hair, just like the Dyson Airwrap. Obviously, other accessories are part of the package: diffuser, concentrator and two round brushes.
Three temperatures and three airflow powers are available on the Shark. The control panel is always placed at the end of the hair dryer, making it difficult to access. On the other hand, whatever the setting, the FlexStyle manages to control its temperature and the homogeneity of the air flow very well. It is even one of the most powerful in our hair dryer comparison at the moment.
If the Shark FlexStyle retains its attributes, it also retains its high and more than unpleasant noise level. We would obviously have liked an improvement at this level, a real pet peeve of the styler.
