Chilean midfielder Pablo Galdames has been linked with Chile’s big three teams in recent transfer windows, and this time is no exception, especially since he will not continue with Vasco da Gama, who has already made him aware that it will not be taken into account for next year.
In an interview with ADN, Galdames said he did not want to talk about possible interest from the Universidad de Chile, as he is a fan of Union Española and is still unsure where he will play in 2025.
“It would be disrespectful to talk about U, since I am a fan of Union Española. My contract with Vasco ends on December 31, and I am very anxious about where I will play in 2025,” he said.
“I feel like I’m having a good career, although obviously the critics can judge. With what I have accomplished so far, I am very happy; I feel that I can continue to grow and that I still have a lot more to bring to football. I want to come back to the national team, represent my country and compete, so I am aiming for that,” he added.

Regarding his future, he mentioned that he is not closing any doors, although he would like to return to the Chilean national team and does not even rule out a return to Union Española.
“I am open to everything. When I was younger, I had only focused on the idea of going to Europe, but now my perspective has changed. I’m waiting to see what happens and what’s best for me,” he said.
