Second degree murder in Chute-Saint-Philippe

On December 10, a man was arrested on Montée des Chevreuils in Chute-Saint-Philippe. The latter is today accused of second degree murder causing the death of a man.

On the morning of December 11, Mathieu Bellemare-Desjardins appeared at the Mont-Laurier courthouse. Remember that he was charged with second degree murder, causing the death of Luc Desjardins.

After the tragedy, Mr. Desjardins was transported to Mont-Laurier hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Two other people, including the accused, were also transported to the emergency room for minor injuries. Mathieu Bellemare-Desjardins was placed in preventive detention. He will face court on January 6.
