As part of a unique training seminar, Voyages en Direct privatized the entire Club Med Québec-Charlevoix.
From November 27 to 29, Voyages en Direct (VED) hosted a unique training event at Club Med Québec-Charlevoix – which could have been renamed Club VED for the occasion – where more than 400 participants from the network responded ” here! » at this seminar called “Training to perform better”.
“The response from our members was extraordinary, so much so that we filled the entire Village for three days, just before it reopened for the winter season,” says Richard Villeneuve, president of VED. This demonstrates the insatiable appetite of the travel advisors in our network, always eager to learn more to better serve their clients. »
22 partner suppliers
After surveying all advisors to identify their training needs, VED collaborated with 22 partner suppliers to design a tailor-made program. Result: a range of 88 workshops, each lasting 30 to 45 minutes, allowing participants to train on specific subjects ranging from reservation systems to group development strategies and even social media optimization.
According to VED, this formula was welcomed by all the advisors who were invited to select the workshops that best met their needs, with the possibility of following up to eight over the day of November 28.
A win-win formula
“The idea was to create qualitative exchanges between advisors and suppliers around targeted themes,” adds Anick Dupuis, vice-president of VED. This format was immediately seen as a win-win formula, and the response from both sides was exceptional. Our partners were able to rise to the challenge by offering up to four presentations adapted to the needs expressed by the advisors. »
According to VED, this unique event is part of the group’s strategy aimed at positioning its members as essential experts in the travel sector.
