Two teams of actors delivered an improvisation match in Saint-Bénigne • La Voix de l’Ain

In front of 90 spectators, actors competed in an improvisation match. All this under the control of an arbiter in bad faith…

An improv match, quezaco? Two teams of actors compete on stage under the eyes of a referee responsible for counting down the time allotted to them.

This is not a wrestling match but a stylistic opposition between two interpretations of a theme imposed by the referee whose whistle is not always appropriate.

One recent evening in the den of the Bresse'Impro troupe which was playing at home, the blacks opened the debate. Always a delicate situation, under the eyes of the oranges who could freely evaluate their competitors and adapt their strategy when their turn came on stage… It was then up to the public to judge which was the best.

Partisan referee

Contrary to what one might have thought, the oranges did not take advantage of their observation time and this first duel ended with the victory of black. An indisputable victory recognized by the public and undoubtedly reluctantly by the referee.

A revenge was therefore due to the opponents.

It was a series of alternative revenges, sketches on sometimes eccentric themes which were to punctuate the rest of the evening.

Anger of spectators

The public took its part by highlighting through its silence the lack of inspiration of one of the teams or by vigorously contesting the intentions of the referee, who locked himself into his bad choices did not hesitate to attract criticism. the ire of the spectators…

A lovely evening of relaxation in a multifunction room which, through the succession of shows it has hosted over the past few months, is tending to become the cultural circle of the sector.

The Bresse Impro troupe will be on stage again in St-Bénigne on December 12 at 8:30 p.m., then in Lons-le-Saunier on December 21 for a new improvisation match.
