The young woman, 23, and her ex-partner, 31, both died of a “violent death”specified the deputy prosecutor, Frédéric Cousin.
The privileged femicide hypothesis
An investigation into spousal murder was opened because “the marital bond is established”but “gray areas” that the autopsy will have to reveal do not currently make it possible to qualify with certainty this tragedy as femicide, the prosecutor also explained. Neither of the two deceased people, separated for several months, was known to the courts, said the prosecutor.
